What is this all about?

I have been scrapbooking for seven years and I am a total addict.  I’m not on any design teams and I have never been published.  I post layouts on TwoPeas but mainly I’m a lurker.

I started this website because I wanted one place to get all my scrapbooking information.  Right now I visit so many blogs each day I thought it would be nice to have a condensed place that summarized everything.  I was also getting frustrated at many of the scrapbooking blogs pushing products and the amount of advertising that started showing up.  I understand that we all need the extra cash, but I get enough advertising shoved down my throat from TV and magazines.  I wanted a place that was free of ads and manufacturer propaganda.  I wanted a place where I could post my honest and unbiased opinions about the scrapbooking industry and the products that we all love to use.

All the products that are featured on this site are products that I have used my own hard earned cash to buy or were given to me as gifts from friends (not manufacturers).  That’s the only way I can keep myself honest and stay true to the purpose of this site.  The only advertising you will see on this site are Google ads and Scrapbook.com.  Why Scrapbook.com you may ask?  They are an Arizona business and I do order/pickup products from them frequently.  I try to promote local businesses as much as I can, it helps keep Arizona’s economy prosperous.  So if you are so inclined feel free to click on those links which will help me buy more scrapbooking products to review.  I will post links to other scrapbooking blogs and such but I do not get any sort of monetary credit for using those links.  If there is a product that you would like me to review drop me a line and I will see if my budget can afford it.

This site is also not a place to talk smack about anyone in the scrapbooking industry.  There will be no scrapbooking gangs on my watch.  I hate the way some of the posts on TwoPeas have gone, it’s just mean and uncalled for.  If comments begin to get catty they will be removed.

Lastly, if you don’t like what I have to say, no one is forcing you to read this blog.  Blogs are free and for the most part easy to start, go start your own.  If you like what I have to say cool, hang out, have fun and spread the word.
